Prior to your surgery, our surgeon will discuss anesthesia options that are best for you and your procedure. We understand your anxiety and will make every effort to keep you comfortable and relaxed throughout your surgery.

If you and your surgeon decide that your surgery is best accomplished by having an IV anesthetic, please be prepared as follows:

You should have nothing to eat or drink (including water) for a minimum of six hours before your appointment time
Wear comfortable, loose fitting, short-sleeved clothing
Take your regularly scheduled medications (with a small amount of water)
Patients under the age of 18 and those not financially responsible for payment must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
A responsible person must be available to drive you home and care for you after surgery
